Considering Surrender?
We recognize making the decision to rehome your animal is not an easy decision. If there is anything we might be able to do to help you troubleshoot the situation you are facing please reach out to us. We often advise owners facing medical or behavioral issues with their pets and can also point you to some additional resources to help you find a new home for your pet while they stay with you.
Our Animal Surrender Form must be filled out and approved before the animal arrives at the shelter.
You know your pet better than anyone else and can give potential new owners the best understanding of their needs, personality, and quirks. We urge you to take charge of rehoming your pet before surrendering them to a shelter.
Shelters can be stressful for animals, no matter how well-run they are. Being in a kennel with lots of other animals around can be difficult for your pet; it might make your pet anxious, aggressive, or sick, despite the care our staff and volunteers provide.
